HARRISBURG – In her continuing effort to keep older residents informed about programs and services that improve the quality of their lives, state Rep. Sue Helm (R-Dauphin/Lebanon) is once again hosting her annual Senior Expo in Susquehanna Township.
The free event will take place on Friday, September 7, 2018, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the second floor community room of the Giant Super Food Store, 2300 Linglestown Road.
“I encourage all seniors, their family members and caregivers to make plans to join us and learn about the various services available to them in our area,” said Helm. “This information can sometimes be difficult to obtain. Our expo makes it easier and more convenient by bringing service providers and seniors together at the same time, under one roof.”
Helm’s Senior Expo will feature exhibitors from nonprofit agencies; local, state and federal governments; and area businesses that will provide information on programs and services available to older Pennsylvanians on a wide range of topics, including health care, insurance, nutrition and exercise, fire safety, financial planning, fraud protection, government, hunting and fishing, and personal safety.
Refreshments and door prizes will be offered. Winners of the door prizes, which will be drawn at noon, must be present to win.
For more information, please call Helm’s Susquehanna Township office at (717) 651-0100.
