Helm to Host Veterans Recognition Brunch on November 1, 2012
HARRISBURG – Rep. Sue Helm (R-Dauphin) today announced that she is once again hosting her annual event to recognize the service and sacrifice of local war veterans. The event is a brunch, which will take place on Thursday, November 1, 2012, at 11 a.m. at Camp Hebron, 957 Camp Hebron Drive, in Halifax. Each veteran will receive a special commemorative pin.

“I look forward to this event every year,” said Helm. “Our veterans have done so much for this country by preserving the freedoms all of us enjoy every day. This event is my small way of saying thank you and publicly recognizing their service to our nation.”
Helm also is pleased to announce that Major General Wesley Craig, adjutant general of Pennsylvania and commander of the Pennsylvania National Guard, has accepted her invitation to be the keynote speaker at the event.

The brunch will be complimentary and is limited to only those veterans who live in the 104th Legislative District, which includes Berrysburg, Dauphin, Elizabethville, Gratz, Halifax, Halifax Township, Jackson Township, Jefferson Township, Lykens, Lykens Township, Middle Paxton Township, Mifflin Township, Millersburg, Paxtang, Penbrook, Pillow, Reed Township, Rush Township, Susquehanna Township, part of Swatara Township, Upper Paxton Township, Washington Township, Wayne Township, Wiconisco Township, Williams Township and Williamstown.

If the veteran is disabled and brought to the event by a guest, the guest may stay for brunch. The deadline to make a reservation for the brunch is Thursday, October 25, 2012.
