Helm to Host Open House at New District Office in Millersburg
MILLERSBURG – Rep. Sue Helm (R-Dauphin/Lebanon) today announced that she is hosting an open house at her new district office in Millersburg, Dauphin County. The free event will be held on Thursday, April 23, 2015, from 2:30-5:30 p.m. The office is located at 260 Market St.
“The redistricting process has given me the opportunity to open a district office in Millersburg. The Elizabethville office had to be closed because it was redistricted out of the 104th Legislative District,” said Helm. “It was an honor to serve the areas that we lost and I hope residents were pleased with the legislative services we provided. We now look forward to getting to know the folks living in the new parts of the district and encourage them to stop by the open house.”
Light refreshments will be served.
On Dec. 1, changes to the boundaries of state legislative districts went into effect. As a result, the Dauphin County townships of Lykens, Mifflin, Washington, Wiconisco and Williams; along with the Dauphin County boroughs of Berrysburg, Elizabethville, Gratz, Lykens, Paxtang, Pillow and Williamstown, are no longer included in the 104th District, which Helm represents. New areas of the district include East Hanover Township and a portion of Swatara Township in Dauphin County; and East Hanover and North Annville townships in Lebanon County. Redistricting occurs every 10 years to reflect shifts in population.
