HARRISBURG – Rep. Sue Helm (R-Dauphin) today announced that state funding for the Colonnade Theater project in Millersburg has been reviewed and approved by Gov. Tom Corbett. Last December, former Gov. Ed Rendell authorized the release of $750,000 in Redevelopment Assistance Capital Program (RACP) funding for the project. But the grant agreement was not fully executed prior to Jan. 18, 2011, when Corbett took office. A review was then conducted by the Office of the Budget, which resulted in Corbett’s approval of the Colonnade grant.

HARRISBURG – Rep. Sue Helm (R-Dauphin) joined Gov. Tom Corbett Wednesday in Millersburg, for a tour of the Ned Smith Center for Nature and Arts. Corbett visited the Center as part of his two-day kayak trip along the Susquehanna River to promote recreational opportunities in central Pennsylvania.

Rep. Sue Helm (R-Dauphin) today urged constituents to get involved in Pennsylvania’s redistricting process. Every 10 years, the Commonwealth redraws the boundaries of its state legislative and congressional districts based on data gathered in the U.S. Census. The lines are changed to make each legislative district include roughly the same number of people to ensure equal representation of the state’s entire population.

Rep. Sue Helm (R-Dauphin) today released the following statement in response to Mayor Linda Thompson’s fiscal recovery plan for the City of Harrisburg. Thompson’s proposal would impose a commuter tax should the state, Dauphin County and bond insurance company fail to cover any remaining debt associated with the city’s trash incinerator.
