Helm Announces $200,000 in State Funding for Fire and EMS Companies
HARRISBURG – Fifteen fire and EMS organizations in the 104th Legislative District have been awarded more than $200,000 in funding through the 2017-18 Pennsylvania Fire Company and Volunteer Ambulance Service Grant Program, Rep. Sue Helm (R-Dauphin/Lebanon) announced today.

“As their operating costs increase, first responders must spend more time raising funds just to keep their doors open,” said Helm. “This state grant program helps to relieve some of that financial burden and allows them to continue providing their life-saving services to our communities.”

Grant awards can be used for construction or renovation of facilities, purchase or repair of equipment, training or debt reduction.
