Helm to Host REAL ID Informational Seminar on March 28
SUSQUEHANNA TOWNSHIP – In her continuing effort to update constituents about REAL ID and the process for obtaining one, Rep. Sue Helm (R-Dauphin/Lebanon) will host a REAL ID Informational Seminar on Thursday, March 28, in Susquehanna Township. The free event will take place at the Jewish Community Center, Spector Lounge, 3301 N. Front St., from 6-7:30 p.m.

“I encourage anyone with questions about REAL ID to make plans to attend our seminar,” said Helm. “Even though the deadline is still more than a year away, the time is now to begin taking steps to apply for this form of identification.”

The seminar will be conducted by PennDOT Community Relations Coordinator Alexis Campbell, who will explain how to obtain a REAL ID and answer questions.

Beginning Oct. 1, 2020, Pennsylvania residents will need a REAL ID-compliant driver’s license, photo ID card, or another form of federally acceptable identification to board a domestic commercial flight or enter a federal building or military installation that requires ID. Getting a REAL ID is optional, and they are currently available to those who want them.
