HARRISBURG – State Rep. Sue Helm (R-Dauphin/Lebanon) today announced that the Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission has awarded a grant of $17,746 to Friends of Fort Halifax for a field school and volunteer project. The field school will build from earlier archaeological investigations at Fort Halifax Township Park to positively identify the location of Fort Halifax. These studies have identified buried features and recovered military and domestic artifacts that date back to the mid-18th century.

HARRISBURG – State Rep. Sue Helm (R-Dauphin/Lebanon) today announced that the House of Representatives has failed to overturn the governor’s veto of House Bill 2787, which would allow decisions regarding school sports and spectators to be made by local school districts rather than by statewide mandate. The motion failed with a vote of 130-71, short of the 2/3 majority needed to overturn.

HARRISBURG – The House of Representatives today passed Senate Bill 1108, which would distribute approximately $2.6 billion in federal relief funds throughout Pennsylvania’s counties as well as across various state government departments. Of that total, $625 million is allocated to 60 Pennsylvania counties who have not yet received funds directly from the federal government. Rep.
